How to stop spiritual attacks
Spiritual attacks occur more frequently than you might imagine or assume. In many instances, these challenging attacks tend to arise just as you begin to cultivate a meaningful relationship with God and turn over a new leaf in your spiritual journey. The spirits, demons, and strongholds that have held tight over your life do not want to release their grip without engaging in a fierce battle. When this struggle ensues, it can feel like an all out war! You will find yourself grappling, suffering, and fighting through a myriad of challenges while facing obstacle after obstacle. This pivotal moment is when you should dive headfirst into the practice of enduring and persevering, ensuring you stay connected to God throughout the entire ordeal. The enemy will attempt to tempt you in any and every possible way to regain control over you. However, if you choose to resist these temptations and flee from their grasp, God will graciously reward you for your perseverance and steadfast endurance when you reach Heaven.
Step 1: Repentance
To effectively stop these attacks against you, you first need to genuinely repent from the depths of your heart. Repenting allows the Holy Spirit to enter you kicking out everything else. Repent for your sins and make a conscious decision to actively turn away from those harmful behaviors and thoughts. In many instances, when the temptation to sin becomes overwhelmingly strong, the Lord advises us to flee from it. Running away from temptation and consistently staying away from sin not only brings you closer to God but also reinforces the spiritual wall through the Holy Spirit that protects you and blocks the enemy from reaching you. Additionally, it is written in the Bible that if you resist the devil, he will flee from you. Embracing this principle represents a significant stepping stone in your journey toward stopping spiritual attacks, creating order from the chaos, and finding peace.
Step 2: Deliverance
The next step in this transformative process is to go through deliverance. Deliverance is a powerful practice that uproots and casts out demons, unclean spirits, strongholds, principalities, and many other negative entities of various kinds. Through this profound experience of deliverance, the Holy Spirit is given the opportunity to work effectively through you, enabling the expulsion of all the spiritual crud that has been defiling your body, mind, and spirit. This cleansing process can lead to a renewed sense of freedom and peace in your life.
Step 3: Prayer
Begin praying regularly every night as a vital part of your routine. Pray not only for spiritual discernment and wisdom but also for the strength needed to endure hardships that may arise. Additionally, seek divine protection against any adversarial forces that may challenge you. Have meaningful and heartfelt conversations with God, sharing your thoughts and concerns openly. Involve God in your daily routine by talking to Him throughout the day and dedicating time to pay attention to His guidance and presence in your life.
Step 4: Read your bible
Begin to read your Bible every night as part of your routine. The Bible is the Holy word of God, reflecting His wisdom and guidance. It is filled with a multitude of wonderful stories, powerful testimonies, and profound revelations about God's nature and His relationship with humanity. Engaging with these teachings provides invaluable information that nourishes both your soul and spirit, helping you grow in faith and understanding.
